In his earlier days, Kishou Arima, also known as the infamous "Reaper" of the Commission of Counter Ghoul, was tasked with attending high school to investigate a series of murders perpetrated by a ghoul with a ravenous appetite. The student population is split into two factions: the "saviors" who employ their Puraana powers to wield weapons and fight their enemies, and the "Kuroma" who use their Maana abilities to defeat foes by employing magical skills that defy the laws of physics.
