Ult was born as half-beast and human in a world where beasts and humans are in conflict. He spent his days being looked at with contempt by those around him. His dream is to fulfill the wish of his best friend Leo, the only person who recognizes him as an equal, to ``kill the beastman who killed his sister.'' Therefore, even though Ult is a half-beastman, he dreams of joining the anti-beastman force ``Narukami'' in order to make Leo's dream come true. However, on the day of the enlistment exam, Ult is forced to make the ultimate choice in order to make his dream come true.
A long and difficult war between the Grasslands and Zexen has resulted in immense anguish. Despite the unsuccessful implementation of ceasefire efforts, a quest commences to find the legendary Flame Champion who had previously saved the Grasslands during a former battle.

A chosen bearer of one of the 27 True Runes, his encounters with death were already foreboding the moment the True Rune was attached to his right hand. Yet, McDohl continues to walk upon the journey through the Empire: facing corruption, cruelty and the life-changing decisions he has to make in order to restore order and peace for the people in his country and to fulfill the hope of many that was entrusted to him. Based on the PSOne video game, it is also loosely based on the Water Margin classics, though it's limited only to the gathering of 108 Stars of Destiny in order to overthrow a corrupt government.

The number of alien sports fans grew dramatically, and the most fanatic of them regularly harass stadiums for taking part in a game, or demanding a good show, etc. Finally a treaty was settled, ruling all interferences towards other planets' cultures illegal. Rabbit Force, a group of rabbit-themed henshin girls, became responsible for enforcing the treaty and capturing any offenders.
