The story revolves around a high school girl named Stella who was born into the wealthy Kuonji family. Every month, the family holds an event called the Tea Party. An incident occurs as all the siblings are gathered this time. Someone says, "Starting now, everyone will kill each other. The person left alive will become the head of the family." Stella's killing game begins.
Students from a university mystery club decide to visit an island which was the site of a grisly multiple murder the year before. Predictably, they get picked off one by one by an unseen murderer. Is there a madman on the loose? What connection is there to the earlier murders? The answer is a bombshell revelation which few readers will see coming.

Yamada is stranded on an island without any ships passing by who isn't sure why he's there because he can't really recall, so after finding his sports bag, he assumes he was on a school trip. With only 7 days of food, he eventually decides to make a boat to leave the island. He thought he was alone on the island until a girl named Imaise Chika was found eating his food, where they then decide to continue making a boat. Since the boat only had room for one, Yamada decided to set off for help, but returned upon noticing that not only did Imaise put her rations in his bag, they were mostly untouched as well. After returning, he noticed she made the oar out of a fishing lance and he decides they can live on the island longer.

Rewrite:Side-B and Rewrite:Side-R are meant to be read as a pair. One follows the route where Kotarou picks the “Self” choice, the other follows the “World” choice.
