There's a penguin living in Kyoto named Chitose-chan. This fluffy and adorable penguin loves to eat and have fun. She's friendly with humans and allows them to feed her. She travels around Kyoto, letting her curiosity be her guide. This manga features famous parts of Kyoto such as Kiyomizudera, Ginkakuji, and Gion as seen from the eyes of a penguin.
Her parents moved away, but she wanted to stay with the guy she likes, Naruse, so she takes the train to get to her school everyday. But it isn't cheap, so she decides to earn all her money by doing anything she can to earn it from her classmates and she is therefor nicknamed Stingy girl. From showing homework, to doing back massages, she does what she can. No one knows about this, of course, and she plans to keep it that way. Although this was how it was suppose to go down, not everything goes just how she wanted it to go.
Marichen finds herself in a different world when she wakes up. The only way to get back home seems to be finding three elements and bring them somehow back to her dream. The three elements are: Peace, Compassion, and Eternity. Her adventure to seek them out begins, or not. Note: The plot is very much incomplete, but the author made a note in the end of the book, stating that she is fully aware of it and that she had to end the series due to some issues.
