The Great Collapse Era. In the near future, civilization has collapsed due to a large-scale disaster and war, and has one foot in the apocalypse. Little did they realize that Sadako's true intentions were far from benign - she sought to curse any other survivors who remained. Joined by the sinister entity, the sisters embarked on a mission to hunt down and curse any others who may have managed to weather the apocalypse.

The story begins when the gods call a convention to decide the whether to let humanity live or die, and settle on destroying humanity. But a lone valkyrie puts forward a suggestion to let the gods and humanity fight one last battle, as a last hope for humanity's continued survival. 13 gods will fight against 13 human champions in one-on-one battles to decide whether humanity lives or dies.
Zeus, supreme chairman of the Council of Valhalla, announces to the gods twelve of the thirteen fighters set to participate in Ragnarok--and is met with the dissenting voices of those who were not chosen. However, Zeus has foreseen this, and immediately declares the holding of another tournament to decide the final spot on the Ragnarok lineup, one which will break the taboo on gods fighting one another.
